As ATB’s next Manager of our Wealth Operations Platform team, you will report to the Director, Operations. You are responsible for leading a highly engaged team of Specialists, and for the selection, onboarding, development and sustainment of the Platform team. You play a critical role in ensuring the team is performing against strategic and business goals and commitments, and ensuring that they deliver well as part of a broader team that creates a great client experience.
You will find success based on your ability to:
Oversee day to day responsibilities of the team: This includes vendor relationships, Dealer Agreements, audit / control design, and system administration
Contribute to strategic and business goals: You will provide leadership on the team’s participation in various firm and industry projects that help deliver on our overall strategy; provide guidance on the execution of other firm and business units projects
Leadership: Lead a team of entry level and developing specialists, providing input and direction to guide the team members to delivery of required outcomes
Leadership: Ensures tasks are completed to the expected standard; provide timely and ongoing coaching and training to Platform Specialists to encourage and support strong outcomes and collaboration
Relationships: Create / sustain effective relationships and manage expectations with key stakeholders, both internal and external
Skills, experience & requirements
- Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Handling difficult or unexpected situations, as well as complex business challenges by objectively assessing situations, identifying and weighing alternative options; remaining calm under pressure

Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with other team members, leaders and stakeholders

Team Member Coaching and Mentorship: Mentoring to build a two-way, mutually beneficial relationship for long-term career movement; Coaching to focus on improvements in behavior and performance to resolve present work issues or handle specific aspects of the job

Teaming in a Matrix Environment: Working effectively in a matrix environment, with people from different functions or departments to achieve a shared, often highly complex goal

Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities and amount of time spent on specific activities

Verbal and Written Communication: Communicating clearly, concisely, and appropriately to the situation; Supplying transparent, precise and useful content

Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the investment industry; Strong working knowledge of ATB Financial and ATB Wealth structure

Education: University Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance or equivalent related experience
