Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering customer's groceries to their homes/businesses efficiently, while providing excellent customer service. This role requires someone committed to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate a van to transport goods, ensuring timely deliveries to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting and moving of products.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including pickup and drop-off times.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including the use of a jigger.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for clear interaction with customers and colleagues.
