About the Position
As a Co-Op Student you will work closely with the other teams members to learn and execute accounting relating tasks and support. This Co-Op term spans from January 2025 to August 2025 (8 months). You will have the opportunity to make an impact and gain the hands-on experience alongside the members of our dynamic teams.
Summary of Responsibilities

Develop technical skills in areas such as: compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax

Support of audit, review or compilation files and related tax preparation.

Communicates audit and review file progress and finding in status meetings, highlighting unresolved issues, and reviewing working papers.

May support team members in assembling and coordinating information requirements for the audit, review or compilation.

Perform various degrees of data analytics procedures with support from other team members.

Builds effective working relationships in assignments with operational client contacts and respond effectively to any inquires.

Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights

In house assignments such as accounting research and provide suggestions related to an assignment or project.
Summary of Experience
-
1+ year customer service experience or 6 months of co-op experience in a similar role.
Requirements:
-
Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College related to accounting or business administration.

Possesses a positive attitude.
-
Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
-
Basic understanding of IFRS, ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients.

Possess strong file management skills, organization and project management.

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Familiarity with CaseWare, Tax Prep, QuickBooks or Simply Accounting (considered an asset).
