Advanced Footcare Nurse Position - Brokered
Community Home Support Lanark County is seeking an experienced Advanced Foot Care Nurse to provide specialized foot care services to clients in a clinic-based setting . The ideal candidate is a self-employed, flexible practitioner who is available to provide service at our Perth location 2 days per week and can provide additional coverage as needed.
This role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality, client centered advanced foot care services that promote mobility, comfort, and overall foot health. Working independently while collaborating with CHSLC staff, the successful candidate ensures services align with best practices, infection prevention and control standards, and CHSLC's commitment to dignity, respect, and client independence.
Community Home Support provides the clinic space as well as the administrative staff who schedule client appointments, process payments and issue receipts, and provide support with client intake and clinic flow management.
The estimated start date is July 2026.
Requirements:
Completion of Advanced Foot Care Certification through an approved nursing program.
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Valid professional liability insurance (proof required annually to CHSLC).
Commitment to maintaining current knowledge and best practices in advanced foot care.
Experience with infection prevention and control standards and sterile technique.
Ability to work independently in a clinic-based environment.
Provide all equipment, tool and supplies necessary to carry out duties.
Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure patient privacy.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive client assessments and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Perform foot care treatments including diabetic care, nail trimming, treatment of corn, callouses, ingrown toenails, etc.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Make recommendations to clients for other specialists as needed.
Maintain clinic space and equipment.
Job Type: A brokered position
Wage: To be discussed based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:30am to 4:00 pm (Lunch break from 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm; last appointment at 3:30 pm). Client appointments are scheduled in 30-minute intervals.
