About Working on a “Floatel”
LandSea will be providing workforce catering and accommodation services for guests onboard the MV Isabelle, a 650-passenger “Floatel”. The Floatel will be permanently docked in Squamish, B.C., and is estimated to operate for up to three years.
Our client Bridgemans is a global provider of workforce floatels and marine services. Their vessel, the MV Isabelle, will be arriving in Canada in early 2024.
All crew members onboard the MV Isabelle must have the minimum marine safety (Seafarer’s) certifications required by Transport Canada for the specific job. All crew must have a Marine Medical with clearance for Watchkeeping duties from Transport Canada.
At work, the crew is provided with accommodation, full meals, and WIFI, and can access health/gym facilities they can access when off work. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from locations. Excellent Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months.
About the Opportunit
We have three openings for 2nd Cook. The 2nd Cook is responsible for assisting the 1st Cook in preparing all meals and ensuring the kitchen, dining, and living areas are always clean and sanitary. This position requires the ability to follow directions and be diligent, focused, and consistent. Comfort with kitchen equipment and knife skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications – LandSea is willing to work with the right candidates to achieve or supplement the following credentials necessary to work onboard:
- STCW Rescue Boat (without Fast Rescue Boats)
- Vessel Personnel without Security Responsibilities
- Passenger Safety Management
