Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced financial controller to oversee all aspects of financial management including but not limited to corporate accounting, budget and forecasts preparation, regulatory and financial reporting as well as development of internal control policies and procedures and financial risk management. The ideal candidate will have a mission to streamline payroll, budgeting and processing financial reports and should have a proven industry experience as an accountant and a skilled financial analyst.

Objective of the Role

  • Make informed financial decisions by applying currently running company policies & procedures
  • Be a key strategist in developing and supporting short term and long term operational strategies
  • Efficiently achieve budgeting goals along with proper analysis, scheduling and corrective actions
  • Proactively develop, implement, and maintain strategic financial controls and guidelines
  • Accurately provide comprehensive financial reports to management by analyzing, evaluating and reporting data points



  • Implements and maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures while simultaneously manages outsourced functions
  • Oversee accounting operations by successfully achieving the department’s goals and objectives in line with control systems, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate dynamic leadership while overseeing and supporting the accounting team whilst creating a productive and trustworthy environment


  • Ensure that all accounts receivable are collected in a timely manner
  • Process payroll in accordance to payroll schedule set by the company
  • Ensure all debts are paid on its required timely basis
  • Maintain all accounting filing system, charts and controls over accounting transactions
  • Limits risks and maximizes return on cash by effectively minimizing bank balances and making calculated investments


  • Issue complete financial statements in a timely manner
  • Coordinate preparation of corporate annual report
  • Effectively calculate and manage annual budget forecasts
  • Devise a management cost report system and accurately calculate budget variances
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and financial trends.


  • Communicate with external auditors for the coordination of information for annual audits
  • Diligently comply with local, state and federal government enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports and tax requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or any related field
  • 10+ years of overall combined finance and accounting experience
  • Proven track record as an experienced Financial controller
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, financial markets and banking
  • Experience in payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Proven expertise in financial project management
  • Ability to effectively deliver high quality work under pressure with strong priority and organization setting skills
  • Knowledgeable on federal regulation on taxes and reporting
  • Above average experience in creating financial statements and general ledger functions
  • Excellent accounting software user with advanced administration and computer skills, specifically in Excel
