As Senior Manager, Operations you will be establishing and executing on strategic plans and initiatives for the Business Technology Operations Department of approximately 45 employees. Bringing a strong understanding of technology to the role, you will advance the integration of technology across a variety of business areas from a strategic and tactical perspective.
Developing and implementing key objectives, monitoring progress, making recommendations and contributing to client service delivery
Developing and providing recommendations on the annual operating plan and budget
Managing vendors and negotiations across a multitude of software and hardware service providers
Influencing policy decisions and providing strategic input regarding implications of these decision on technology and the needs of the business
Providing oversight on change management and release management while advancing AIMCo’s continuous integration and continuous deployment framework
Ensuring the day-to-day operations of the investment solutions under management (including AIMCo’s overnight NAV process) and maintaining service level objectives
Demonstrating a strong commitment to AIMCo’s core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity and collaboration, and inspiring the same in others
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Diploma or University Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
Graduate level degree, such as an MBA or CFA, would be advantageous
Knowledgeable of ITIL principles and their practical application in IT Service Management
Extensive experience running multi-disciplinary, multi-location resource models with zero downtime
Hands on experience within Investment Management, Financial Services or Fintech firm would be an asset
Disaster Recovery planning and execution
Extensive knowledge in technology stack (server, storage, network) and experienced in future state strategy and consulting
Demonstrated knowledge of Project and Change Management methodologies
Previous experience working within an agile environment with DevOps exposure is advantageous
Highly motivated by a fast-paced environment, with rapidly changing priorities and projects
Encourages a team culture committed to integration and collaboration, that enhances personal and professional growth

Within the first year, the Senior Manager, Operations will have started to identify efficiencies within the runback process and developed a strategy to operationalize regulatory projects focused on the margin call workflow.
