Reporting to the Director, IT, the IT Supervisor is responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of junior analysts as well as implementing, maintaining and supporting all IT solutions that are utilized at the Medicentres Head Office, and all clinics across Canada. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, clinic network appliances, associated software, and communication links. The jobholder will also troubleshoot network performance issues and analyze network traffic in a timely, accurate manner.
Provide 24/7 support for the network and security infrastructure.
Responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of all network and security equipment implemented across the businesses, including clinics.
Responsible for remote access of all employees.
Interface with McKesson security to ensure we are aligned with global policies.
Maintain all network documentation, including architectural drawings required by McKesson.
Monitor and analyze network performance across the organization.
Ensures all changes to the network environment follow the change management process.
Assist with the migration of legacy systems to the Google and Azure cloud.
Assist with creating and maintaining the technology road map for the company.
Assist the Sr. System Analyst with technology upgrades and deployments.
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for all technologies.
Provide on-call support to Jr. service desk staff.
Provide on-call support for 3rd party vendors for major project roll-outs.
Selecting and testing new hardware and software as required by the business.
Document each newly developed solution to assist in the deployment and on-going support.
Manage assigned projects in a priority sequence to ensure deliverables are met in time.
Assist in the development, training and mentoring of junior staff members.
Supervise the junior team members and assign daily tasks and responsibilities.
Responsible for monitoring help-desk tickets and providing metrics to the leadership team.
Act as the primary escalation point for all help-desk tickets.
Perform other duties as assigned to support Medicentres Canada Ltd and McKesson Canada.
