Qualifications: – Ability to communicate orally and in written English is required – Completion of secondary (high) school is required – Accuracy and speed in executing task in fast paced environment and ability to work as a team member is a must.
Experience: 2 -3 years of work experience as a cook in a restaurant is required
Job duties:
· Cook’s food items by grilling, frying, sautéing and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
· Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
· Plan menus and determine size of food portions and presentation of food
· Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
· Estimate food requirements and costs
· Order supplies and equipment
· Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
· Clean and inspect kitchen and work areas
