We are seeking a Manager for our Digital and Emerging Technologies (D&ET) practice, working specifically with our Financial Services, Private Equity and Pension industry teams. In this role, you will support our clients’ ambition of making their business units more effective and efficient and, where required, provide services in connection with the development and implementation of technology solutions. This position falls within our Technology Consulting team, which helps our clients enhance the effectiveness of Operations functions by assisting them as they shift their emphasis from transaction-level control, processing and reporting to more value driven, decision support and analytics.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, an important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You'll also identify potential business opportunities for EY within existing engagements and share these with your team members as appropriate. Similarly, you'll manage projects, anticipating and identifying risks within engagements and sharing any issues with senior members of the team. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex strategy concepts, including considering the disruptive trends which are prevalent in today’s economy and how they might apply to financial services, pension and private equity firm’s problems and challenges.
Deliver quality services. Value and model excellent client service by establishing goals and implementation plans to achieve high quality deliverables within expected timeframes. Monitor progress manage risk and keep key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management. Focus on deliverables and client business priorities. Manage expectations of service and scope. Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers and business trends.
Develop people. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/training. Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment. Coach younger team members and support their career development.
Demonstrate high level of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge. Keep up-to-date with current developments and trends in consulting services capabilities and industry knowledge, particularly around emerging technologies. Get involved in the development of points of view and market visibility opportunities.
Generate new business opportunities. Understand Ernst & Young and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop long-term client relationships and networks.
Skills and Attributes for Success

Deep understanding of emerging technologies, coupled with a functional mindset to be able to speak confidently to clients about both business and technical requirements

Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic

To qualify for this role, you must have
Strong academic record including a bachelor's degree
A minimum of 5 years of experience in industry or with a professional services firm along with a successful track record in technology transformation space as a business consultant
A minimum of 5 years Experience in financial services, pension or private equity firms
Experience in delivering projects that cover the full technology life cycle of assessment, design and implementation
Experience delivering and leading project teams specifically using Intelligent Automation tools such as Blue Prism, UiPath, Power Platform (including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Virtual Agents), citizen development, etc.
Technology and strategy consulting experience with large financial service organizations and/or private clients, selling and delivering successful, high-impact strategy projects
Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
Depth of knowledge in the Financial Services Technology, Pension Technology, or Private Equity Technology
Bilingual in both, French and English languages is an asset
A willingness to travel to meet client needs (when it is safe)
