We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will assist with health screenings for students and adults, support patient management, and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health screenings and physical assessments for students and adult patients
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to address patient concerns and coordinate care
- Obtain and document comprehensive patient medical histories
- Assess, diagnose, and assist in the management of illnesses and injuries
- Order, interpret, and analyze laboratory and diagnostic test results
- Provide patient education regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Develop and support long-term patient treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system
- Administer medications as appropriate and within scope of practice
- Operate and assist with diagnostic equipment and procedures
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current certification and eligibility to practice in Ontario
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and disease processes
- Experience using ACURO is preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred
- Previous Physician Assistant experience is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- EMR: 1 year (preferred)
- Physician Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
