Job Brief:
Arista Custom Doors, a leader in custom door manufacturing in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Create and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis machines, ensuring all programs meet design specifications.
- Blueprint and CAD Interpretation: Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to develop accurate machine programs using BSolid and other relevant CAM software.
- Tool Path Optimization: Use BSolid to model cutting paths, select the correct tools and feeds, and adjust parameters to achieve high-quality results with minimal material waste.
- Simulation and Testing: Run simulations within BSolid and conduct test runs to verify program accuracy before full production, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances and dimensions, using precision tools to validate accuracy.
- Machine Setup and Calibration: Collaborate with operators to set up Biesse machines accurately, ensuring correct machine configurations and tool placements.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve programming or machine issues during production to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain records of program changes, setups, and troubleshooting actions for future reference and quality assurance.
Requirements and skills:
- Education and Experience: At least 3 years’ experience as a CNC Programmer, specifically with Biesse CNC machines; a certificate or diploma in CNC programming, and a degree in engineering, or related field preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with BSolid software is highly advantageous, along with general proficiency in CAD/CAM programming.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Biesse 3-axis and 5-axis machine operations, including setup, tooling selection, and maintenance.
- Blueprint and CAD Literacy: Ability to interpret complex blueprints and CAD models specifically for Biesse machine programming.
- Precision and Quality Focus: Skilled in using precision tools to inspect parts and ensure compliance with dimensional standards.
- Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills for calculating dimensions, troubleshooting issues, and adjusting program parameters.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure program accuracy and quality production.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members and operators.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
