Apex Truck & Trailer Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Service Advisor to join our team.
This is a senior-level position requiring previous heavy-duty truck industry experience and strong technical knowledge of truck and trailer repairs. A 310T Truck and Coach Technician licence is a strong asset.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in building strong customer relationships, communicates effectively with customers and technicians, and has the confidence to take ownership, make decisions and follow through.
You may already be an experienced heavy-duty Service Advisor, or you may come from a 310T Technician background and be looking to move into a customer-facing role where you can use your technical knowledge and leadership abilities.

Apex Truck & Trailer Inc. started with a mechanic, his truck, and a vision.
Today, we are an independently owned heavy truck and trailer repair facility in Waterloo, servicing all makes and models of trucks, trailers and equipment.
Our work ranges from preventative maintenance and general repairs to electrical and engine diagnostics, aftertreatment systems, engine repairs and overhauls, transmissions, suspension and fabrication.
We have invested heavily in our facility, equipment, diagnostic software and systems. We remain a hands-on, independently owned business where good people can make a real impact.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Customer Service & Advising
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service requests
- Prepare, review and explain repair estimates
- Clearly communicate repair recommendations, costs, timelines and progress
- Provide knowledgeable advice on truck and trailer maintenance and repairs
- Deliver a high level of customer service from initial contact through completion
Shop Workflow & Leadership
- Coordinate and prioritize work through the shop
- Work closely with Foreman to review findings, repair requirements and job progress
- Keep work orders moving efficiently from diagnosis through authorization, repair and completion
- Coordinate with Parts to ensure required components are available
- Monitor jobs for delays, roadblocks and approaching quoted time
- Ensure work orders and technician documentation are complete and accurate
- Review completed work orders and prepare accurate customer invoices
- Take ownership of day-to-day issues and help keep the service department organized
- Provide leadership and support while maintaining clear expectations and accountability
- Help continually improve shop workflow, efficiency and customer experience
- Take on increasing leadership and service-department responsibilities based on experience, strengths and performance
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous heavy-duty truck and/or trailer industry experience is required
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy trucks, trailers and repair processes
- 310T Truck and Coach Technician licence is a strong asset
- Experience as a Service Advisor, Heavy Duty Technician, Service Manager or similar role
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Leadership ability and a desire to continue developing professionally
- A proactive self-starter who can manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
- Strong organization, problem-solving and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers and learning new shop-management systems
- Positive, professional and willing to continuously learn and improve

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
