Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team, providing essential patient care and rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will have experience working in hospital settings and possess strong case management skills. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives across pediatric and adult populations, utilizing your expertise in medical terminology and acute care.
Duties
- Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and developmental needs to develop personalized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving or restoring functional abilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Massage Therapist, Osteopath Therapist, Acupuncturist, etc.) to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Manage case documentation accurately and efficiently, including progress notes and treatment reports
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety precautions
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide recommendations for ongoing therapy or home modifications
Qualifications
- Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the respective state
- Proficiency in medical terminology and case management practices
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients
- Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
