West Coast Grill sits right on the water at the Oceanfront resort in Sooke — and behind our line is a prep team that takes local, fresh ingredients seriously. We're looking for an experienced, fast-paced Prep Cook who takes pride in precision, consistency, and keeping a kitchen running like clockwork.
What you'll do:
- Prep fresh, local ingredients daily — think local sockeye, sablefish, and produce sourced close to home
- Keep station organized, stocked, and ready before service hits
- Follow recipes and portioning standards without losing speed
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness like it's second nature
- Work alongside a line cook team that has your back — and expects the same from you
What you bring:
- Prior prep cook or kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant
- Solid knife skills and a sharp sense of timing
- Reliability — we need someone who shows up ready, every shift
- A calm head when the ticket rail fills up
- FoodSafe certification (or willingness to get it)
