Civeo Services Employees LP is recruiting for a result driven and customer service-oriented Safety Training Specialist. Reporting to the operations manager the incumbent will be travelling to various locations on a 12 hr/day, 15 days on 13 days off rotation which may include days, nights, weekend shifts and statutory holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Civeo’s training and competency programs across all business units.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements in collaboration with operational management.
- Design and deliver training programs (SWIs) to managers, supervisors, and employees, including readiness assessments and competency verification support.
- Provide coaching and feedback to employees on training gaps and development needs; support operational leadership with improvement recommendations.
- Maintain and manage competency records within Civeo’s HSE (Myosh) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support integration of BBO and competency programs to enhance efficiency and execution.
- Train and support operational mentors and identify additional training opportunities to strengthen workforce capability.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) in collaboration with leadership.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience, with demonstrated experience delivering and facilitating training across various employee levels.
- Direct experience assessing training needs, developing materials, and delivering training programs; adult education background is an asset.
- Experience in hotel operations (Housekeeping and/or Kitchen) is required.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, evaluate, and improve employee performance, including adapting training for individuals (e.g., ESL needs).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a high level of accountability and integrity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Team-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, with a positive and service-focused approach.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; ability to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test.
