Purpose of the job
Under the supervision of the Team Leader, Processes and Systems, the Business Process Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, participating in the review and documenting the various business processes. Through his knowledge of the company, processes and systems, the analyst will play an advisory role with the various internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will liaise between stakeholders and internal and external technical resources in the implementation and modification of technologies and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deepen business needs in collaboration with the company's stakeholders;
- Analyze, model and document business processes;
- Explain the business context and the impact of projects on the organization's processes;
- Helps explain the impact of complex problems and teams up with other colleagues and partners to find the best solution to problems;
- Present concrete and effective solutions adapted to the needs of internal customers;
- Advise and assist business teams with a view to improvement and innovation;
- Help identify ROI for different initiatives;
- Document analyses, possible solutions and impacts;
- Ensure the link between the various stakeholders, internal and external, and the IT department;
- Participate in quality control activities and unit and integrated testing;
- Participate in the preparation and dissemination of training content for users;
- Participate in quality assurance for deliverables produced by service providers and team members;
- Proactively document solutions, processes, concepts and lessons learned from our experiences;
- Collaborate with analysts and support teams to document, prioritize, and resolve issues;
- Communicate effectively with non-technical staff and team members;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Your profile
- Business Process Expert: You are a specialist in process optimization, able to dissect workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Communicator and Facilitator: Communication is your strength. You excel at liaising between internal teams, external partners, and technical resources to ensure project success.
- Strategic Advisor and Innovator: With a solid background in business analysis, you provide informed recommendations to improve processes and maximize the return on investment of initiatives.
- Versatile and Organized: Your ability to manage several projects simultaneously and to document processes in a clear and precise way distinguishes you.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the retail field, mainly in head office operations as well as as a business analyst;
- Experience in the retail industry in systems implementation;
- Analytical skills and skills in investigation and problem solving;
- Ability to document business processes and workflow in a clear and concise manner;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ease of learning about business needs and the systems involved in them;
- Bilingual spoken and written, English and French (The person will have to communicate with suppliers outside of Canada);
- Proficiency in the Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word);
- Interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills and team spirit;
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.
