We are currently looking for a General Helper responsible for day-to-day housekeeping tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine housekeeping in all areas of the mill including scale / bulk loadout area and litter pickup around site
- General warehouse / exterior / by-product clean-up, garbage, and recycling
- Keep aisles and walkways clean and open
- Return tools to their proper storage place when finished with the tools
- Keep tools in proper working condition or report when tools need repair or replacement
- Power wash and clean trucks / trailers /roll off bins/ mobile equipment
- Power wash barrels used in by-product
- Assist with basic maintenance (greasing, filter changes / cleaning etc.)
- Assist with inventory counts
- Inspections / cleaning of all mill equipment / magnets / bin floor etc.
- Sort / dump drybox byproducts and drum products
- Communicate with fellow workers / supervision regarding productivity / improvement items
- Operate a forklift – Training will be offered
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to sustain high standards in excellence, cleanliness, and organization
- Ability to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material
Hourly rate: 21,25$/h
