JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is an opportunity for someone who genuinely loves the hospitality industry and takes pride in creating great food, leading a team, and being part of a strong kitchen culture.
As a key member of our kitchen leadership team, you will help oversee daily operations, maintain high standards for food quality and consistency, and support the development of our culinary team. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We're looking for someone with 2–5 years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen, preferably with experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
The right person will be:

- Someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, food safety, and kitchen culture

DUTIES
- Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and service
- Helping organize daily prep and ensuring the kitchen is properly set up for service
- Assisting with inventory, ordering, receiving, and controlling food waste
- Training, coaching, and developing kitchen team members
- Ensuring recipes, prep standards, and Browns Socialhouse specs are followed
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
- Completing daily kitchen checks and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed. EX. Line checks, HACCP, Spec Checks
- Helping create a positive, respectful, and accountable kitchen culture
REQUIREMENTS
- 2–5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting with strong leadership skills
- Extensive food preparation and cooking experience in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and Food Safe Certification
- Hands-on experience with food industry standards, kitchen equipment, and hospitality operations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
