JOB OVERVIEW
The incumbent in this role will have a broad scope of responsibilities impacting a variety of projects, programs and services related to the attraction and selection of talent for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Reporting to the Manager, Talent, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is passionate about making a difference, is service oriented, and enjoys building and fostering new connections and identifying talent. In addition to supporting our talent acquisition team, this person will have a strong commitment to our mission, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Act as an ambassador for the CCS employer brand ensuring a positive experience in all activities related to the recruitment and selection of talent including:
Full cycle recruitment support including

Manage all job postings:

Create, translate and post job opportunities

Candidate review and selection:

Screen resumes
-
Conduct phone screens when required

Schedule interviews
-
Onboarding:

Coordinate background and reference verifications
-
Communicate with candidate during onboarding process

Initiate and submit initial new hire IT ticket,
-
Reporting:
-
Track all upcoming start dates for new hires to ensure equipment arrives on time.

Maintain the recruitment tracker to ensure it is accurate and up to date when supporting the talent acquisition team with mandates.

Support the hiring requisition processes in ADP/WFN
-
Generate recruitment reports and metrics through excel (and other platforms) to track the success of hiring initiatives.

Track recruitment expenses and provide quarterly updates and analysis to Director
Internship/student program coordination

Review and coordinate all aspects of student/intern/co-op program as per published guidelines
-
Work with hiring manager and HRBP to ensure a positive experience for all parties involved

Build and maintain relationships with schools and other community partners to deepen the talent pool
-
Research and present funding opportunities for students/interns, etc.

Participate in community events and outreach activities to raise awareness about our organization and opportunities

Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Support broader talent acquisition strategies

Support the team on a variety of recruitment and selection projects

Participate in assisting the team in creative sourcing and social recruiting activities including but not limited to in person and virtual career fairs, campus events, etc.

Actively share and post talent related content on social media sites

Assist in planning CCS Office events

Welcome new Toronto Staff each week in the Toronto Office teams channel

QUALIFICATIONS:

A combination of education and work experience demonstrating success in coordination, time management and organization.

High proficiency in English (verbal, written, and presentation); French fluency is a strong asset.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).

Familiarity with ATS and/or HRIS systems are considered an asset.

Experience supporting recruitment or HR teams is an asset
