Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Appliance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in appliance repair, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various household appliances, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely. The Appliance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of household appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Install new appliances and ensure proper functioning before leaving the customer’s location
- Troubleshoot complex problems related to appliance systems such as HVAC components when applicable
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each service call
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering any questions professionally
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all repair activities
- Assist with assembly or installation of appliances when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair or related technical field
- Strong electrical experience and mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams
- Familiarity with HVAC systems or assembly work is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between service locations
- Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
