In-Person Elementary Teachers — Calgary, Alberta
EduLearn Canada is hiring elementary teachers for in-person instruction in Calgary.
Please note: our online teaching team is fully staffed. This recruitment is exclusively for teachers who are willing and able to work with students in person.
Mandatory Location Requirement
Applicants must:
- Currently live in Calgary, Alberta
- Be available to teach students in person in Calgary
- Have reliable transportation or the ability to travel to assigned teaching locations
Candidates living outside Calgary will not be considered. Applicants residing outside Alberta will not be interviewed. This is not an online or remote teaching opportunity.

EduLearn Canada provides personalized academic support to learners through in-home instruction, curriculum support, test preparation, and small-group learning. Our teachers work alongside families to help children strengthen their skills, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
The Opportunity
We are seeking knowledgeable, dependable, and engaging elementary teachers who can support students across one or more of the following subject areas:
- English Language Arts
- Reading and reading comprehension
- Writing, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling
- Mathematics and numeracy
- Science
- Social Studies
- Study skills, organization, and homework support
- Alberta curriculum reinforcement
- Provincial Achievement Test preparation, where applicable
Teachers may provide individualized or small-group instruction based on each learner’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in person
- Assess students’ strengths and areas requiring support
- Adapt instruction to different learning needs and abilities
- Reinforce classroom learning and Alberta curriculum outcomes
- Support students with homework, assignments, test preparation, and skill development
- Build positive, professional relationships with students and families
- Communicate clearly about student progress
- Arrive prepared, punctual, and ready to teach at each scheduled session
Ideal Candidates
We are looking for educators who:
- Have experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students
- Possess strong knowledge of elementary subject matter
- Can explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Are comfortable supporting diverse learning needs
- Are dependable, professional, organized, and encouraging
- Can provide consistent in-person availability
- Are willing to travel within Calgary for teaching assignments
- Hold relevant teaching credentials, education, or classroom experience
