About the Opportunity:
The Supplier Relations Manager will be responsible for managing end to end supplier relationships in Canada within the GRS Procurement team. This includes supporting strategic execution of existing supplier programs, program launches and new business opportunities. The Supplier Relations Manager will be assigned to specific suppliers and/or channel partners. The main role of the Supplier Relations Manager is to maintain and build supplier relationships that will foster revenue growth within the client programs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct semi-annual Supplier review process to ensure Service Level Agreement performance obligations and revenue optimization is achieved
- Create and manage supplier business relationships that builds supplier programs designed to drive profitable sales for GRS and its Partners
- Negotiate, Forecast, and manage vendor rebate programs and seek out opportunities to maximize returns
- Responsible for the negotiation and subsequent development and implementation of effective pricing and promotion strategies and delivering advertising programs in conjunction with the Marketing Department and Sales team
- Manage all day-to-day vendor requirements, including program changes from final approval through to implementation
- Work with the Supplier Operations and Reward Mapping teams, ensure that supplier integrations are accurate and operating correctly, providing support as required to address any issues
- Provide regular instruction to suppliers regarding pricing, procedures, and product insight based on researching and analyzing competitive conditions, customer needs, and market trends
- Attend trade shows and other industry events to foster stronger relationships with the suppliers and customers
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of vendor relations experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to negotiate and collaborate with vendors on many different levels
- Detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong understanding of web technologies with a proven ability to quickly adapt to new technology
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
- Ability to travel (if needed)
