Responsibilities
- The morning bake off person (starting at 6am; potentially at 5am) will proof and bake veinosseries, cookies, scones, double baked, etc
- Prepare and decorate pastries
- Cook in a professional manner, meeting all quality standards and following recipes precisely.
- Work well individually, as well as in a team setting
- Maintain a clean work area and perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
- Work with minimum supervision when other team members are not present.
- Follow all health and safety standards
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, and diagram form for specific tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Food Safe Level 1 is required
- Professional pastry school diploma is preferred
- Experience in fast paced bakery, restaurant or hotel environment is an asset
- Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 50 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and early mornings
