Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant / Virtual CFO Associate (Part-Time) with CPA preferred to support our financial management team. This role offers a flexible, remote work environment and is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting and financial services. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights.
Duties
- Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and account analysis reports
- Conduct auditing procedures to verify compliance and internal controls
- Support bookkeeping activities, including data entry and ledger management
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings
- Provide insights on corporate finance strategies and assist with budgeting initiatives
- Collaborate with clients to improve financial processes and ensure timely reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services with familiarity in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, payroll, and auditing procedures
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles including budgeting and account analysis
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while managing multiple client accounts effectively
- CPA certification is preferred but not required; relevant experience is essential
- Proficiency in using various accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other accounting software packages
