Duties
- Assist experienced diesel mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various types of diesel vehicles.
- Learn to diagnose diesel mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Participate in the inspection of diesel vehicles to identify potential problems.
- Help with the replacement of parts such as brakes, tires, and batteries.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic understanding of diesel automotive systems and components is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks as required.
