RJames Truck & Equipment Service Golden offers maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and semi-trucks. We are seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at our Golden BC shop.
The Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for diagnoses and repairs in all areas of on-highway vehicles.
DUTIES
Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair of various components of a variety of heavy-duty trucks equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions
Working from repair manuals, diagnostic equipment and online resources
Complete detailed, clear and concise work orders
EXPECTATIONS
Must have a ‘Fix It Right First Time’ mentality
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
Communicate with service advisor if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the agreed upon timeframe
Keep shop area neat, clean and safe and reports machinery defects or malfunctions
QUALIFICATIONS
Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician preferred
Previous engine and/or transmission experience is preferred
