About Crabbe Mountain
Crabbe Mountain is home to the largest vertical descent in New Brunswick and offers premier skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and event experiences. We are looking to grow as a four-season destination with Mountain Biking expansion planned for the near future. Crabbe is positioned as a cornerstone of outdoor recreation and rural tourism in the province. Crabbe Mountain is entering an exciting chapter of growth and innovation.
Job Overview
Crabbe Mountain is seeking an energetic and results-driven individual with proven experience in Sales and Marketing, Event Planning, and Advertising. This is a year-round position.
The right candidate will strategically lead all marketing, communications, events, and advertising sales initiatives. Serving as the primary brand steward, this role is responsible for driving creative content strategy, fostering community engagement, and achieving brand growth across all platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strategic planning and hands-on execution, possess a deep passion for the mountain lifestyle, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that demands both analytical thinking and creativity, where no two days are the same.
Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
Core Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual marketing plan that is directly aligned with Crabbe Mountain’s organizational revenue and growth objectives.
- Enhance brand positioning, refine audience segmentation, and optimize campaign performance across all channels.
- Lead the digital marketing strategy, overseeing content creation and performance measurement.
2. Communications & Storytelling
- Develop clear and compelling messaging designed to resonate with guests, community partners, and the wider public.
- Generate high-quality written content for diverse platforms, including the website, email newsletters, press releases, and all social media channels.
- Serve as a primary brand ambassador in all external communications and media interactions.
3. Advertising Sales & Partnership Management
- Proactively sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities across all Crabbe Mountain media channels, including but not limited to on-site signage, event sponsorships, and digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective advertisers and sponsors to successfully meet established revenue targets.
- Create compelling sales materials and proposals outlining advertising value and partnership benefits.
- Ensure the timely execution and accurate fulfillment of all contracted advertising agreements.
4. Digital & Social Media Marketing
- Manage and strategically expand Crabbe Mountain’s presence across all core social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Plan, execute, and analyze paid digital campaigns, using performance metrics to optimize reach and engagement.
- Actively engage with the online community, monitor industry trends, and foster an authentic online presence.
5. Content Creation & Visual Media
- Capture, edit, and produce high-quality photo and video content that effectively tells the Crabbe Mountain seasonal story.
- Support content development for newsletters, blogs, and promotional event materials.
- Collaborate internally and externally to ensure visual media and brand tone are consistently applied.
6. Project & Event Management
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all promotional events, on-site activations, and community engagements (e.g., Apres ski, Trivia nights).
- Effectively manage project timelines, allocated budgets, and necessary resources and being mindful of deadlines.
7. Analytics & Technical Skills
- Leverage data insights (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and email marketing platforms) to inform strategic decisions, forecast future trends, and accurately measure overall marketing success.
- Apply expertise in SEO, SEM, and CRM best practices to maximize audience reach and overall performance.

Qualifications
Required
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, media, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven, demonstrable experience in marketing, communications, or related roles.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and professional communication skills.
- Experience overseeing social media platforms and running digital campaigns.
- Demonstrated success coordinating or managing events.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as necessitated by the business.
- Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, high degree of initiative, and accountability.
Assets / Preferred
- Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva,InDesign).
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, etc.).
- Demonstrated photography or videography skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and email marketing platforms.
- Knowledge or professional experience in the skiing, snowboarding, or mountain recreation industries.
- Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability is considered an asset but not required.
