Purpose Driven Position
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President, People and Culture is a key member of CarbonCure’s leadership team, responsible for shaping and leading all aspects of the company’s people and culture function. A transformative leader, the Vice President has a unique opportunity to ideate, develop and lead human resources strategy, programs and policies in support of cultivating a high-performance culture. They are adept at strategically identifying, prioritizing and aligning the human resources needs of the business to transform culture and drive business and customer success.
The Vice President is collaborative, innovative, and resourceful in creating alignment and driving efficiency and change across a broad range of human resources functions and services, including talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee wellness and compensation and benefits. They are a supportive people leader and an advocate and champion representing employee interests. As a trusted advisor and critical contributor to the leadership team, they are relentless in their pursuit of positively influencing and impacting people and culture, aligned to the overall business strategy.
What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field; an advanced degree or HR certification is an asset.
- At least 10 years as a senior HR leader with demonstrated success leading organizational change and building a high-performance culture.
- Experience in a high growth or venture capital environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of a broad range of HR functions including talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee wellness and compensation and benefits.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and using HR metrics and KPI’s to drive performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Track record of using data and insights to inform strategy, decision-making and engagement.
- Engaging people leader with experience building, mentoring, and empowering high- performing teams.
- Demonstrated commitment and experience developing and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy or initiatives.
- Demonstrated skills related to systems planning and performance, project execution and monitoring.
- Broad knowledge of HR concepts, practices, industry trends, employment laws, and HRIS.
- Analytical problem solver with a bias for action and results.
- Exceptional communicator and presenter.
- Ability to navigate complex relationships with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Board governance and/or experience presenting to boards is preferred.
What you'll be doing

Lead the development and execution of strategic people and culture plans, including identifying and championing transformation of programs, processes, policies and technology to align human resources with the company’s business goals and growth objectives.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance of the company’s people and culture functions and services, including talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee wellness and compensation and benefits.
- Provide strategic leadership by articulating human resource needs and plans to the senior leadership team and board of directors.
- Provide leadership, expertise, advice and guidance to leaders in the company on all people matters.
- Lead initiatives that drive organizational change, cultivating a data-driven, high performance company culture that supports innovation, collaboration, and customer success.
- Provide leadership in the optimization of business practices, including but not limited to workforce planning and implementing metrics to assess performance.
- Lead efforts to attract, recruit, and retain top talent, ensuring the right people are in place to drive results.
Develop and lead employee experience strategies and initiatives that build and accelerate cohesive, high-performing teams across the business.
- Oversee programs that share employee success and reward and recognize innovation, collaboration and performance.
- Oversee the development of equity, diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives to promote and support an inclusive culture and diversity of thought.
- Steward compensation and benefit strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
- Stay current with innovative and emerging trends, identifying best practices for implementation.
