Job Description
The Receiver plays a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe handling of materials and inventory to support manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and transacting materials in the ERP system, while maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy, workplace organization, and safety.
Responsibilities

Maintain organized inventory and perform cycle counts by location, quantity, and status to ensure accurate stock levels.

Transact material in the ERP system to reflect the physical movement of parts throughout the facility.

Accurately pick, count, label, and transact parts for production operations based on pick lists and ad hoc requests.

Expedite materials and related transactions to support manufacturing operations and meet production schedules.

Maintain and deliver in-process inventory to point-of-use workstations in a timely and accurate manner.

Verify and receive materials against purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy of quantities and documentation.

Utilize reel counters and scales to accurately count inventory and confirm quantities.

Load and unload trucks, boxes, containers, and carts safely and efficiently.

Use a variety of packaging and handling methods to protect materials from damage, including electrostatic discharge prevention and handling of moisture-sensitive parts.

Store and organize parts in accordance with material handling guidelines, including FIFO, locator organization, and weight considerations.

Enter cycle count data into the ERP system and ensure records are complete and accurate.

Verify inventory computations by comparing system records to physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies and adjusting errors as required.

Verify, reconcile, and transact materials returned from manufacturing to maintain accurate inventory records.

Process inventory adjustments in the ERP system while following the established approval hierarchy.

Bake parts according to part specifications and documented procedures.

Follow specifications for the orientation of parts in trays and on tape and reel to ensure proper packaging.

Select the correct pocket and tape for tape and reel packaging based on part requirements.

Collaborate daily with Accounting, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and other departments, including participation in special projects as needed.

Cross-train within the Materials team and assist other Material Handlers when required to support overall team performance.

Maintain safety standards and uphold 5S workplace organization principles in all work areas.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support materials management and manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills-
At least 1 year of forklift experience, specifically sit-down forklift operation.

At least 1 year of receiving experience in a materials or warehouse environment.

At least 1 year of experience working with an ERP system, including inventory transactions and queries.

Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.

Capability to handle heavy load balance and stacked skids safely.

Basic computer skills, including use of MS Office applications such as Excel and Word.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
Extended fork forklift experience is an asset.

Willingness to cross-train within the Materials team and support other material handling functions.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, labeling, and transacting inventory.

Good communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams such as Accounting, Procurement, Planning, and Operations.

Work Environment
The work environment is generally clean, with occasional exposure to dust, metals, solder, high noise levels from operating machines, and physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. Designated personal protective equipment and electrostatic discharge protection must be worn where required. The role involves regular material handling activities such as loading and unloading trucks, boxes, containers, and carts, and working with tape and reel packaging, reel counters, and scales. The setting is fast-paced, production-oriented, and organized according to safety and 5S workplace standards.
