Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing comprehensive patient care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various musculoskeletal and related health issues, emphasizing holistic healing and recovery. The Osteopath will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic medical environment. Candidates with multilingual abilities, hospital experience, and familiarity with medical terminology are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine health conditions and treatment needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing manual therapy techniques, including soft tissue manipulation and joint mobilization
- Maintain accurate case management records and document patient progress using electronic health record systems
- Provide patient education on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and post-treatment care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as physiotherapists, and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Manage multiple cases efficiently through effective time management and organizational skills
- Stay updated on the latest osteopathic practices, medical advancements, and relevant healthcare regulations
- Assist in pediatric cases and acute care situations requiring specialized knowledge in these areas
Requirements
- MUST HAVE D.O.M.P. (Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice) or M.OMSc.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, case management, and analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Word processing software for documentation purposes
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant licensure or certification as an Osteopath is required; compliance with local healthcare regulations is mandatory
