JCL Excavating is Hiring – Experienced Excavator & Skid Steer Operators
JCL Excavating is growing, and we're looking for experienced Excavator (Hoe) Operators and Skid Steer (Bobcat) Operators to join our team.
We're looking for operators who can take ownership of an excavation from start to finish with little to no supervision. If you're confident reading grades, working efficiently, and producing clean, accurate work, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Complete residential basement excavations from start to finish
- Read and work from grade stakes and site plans
- Excavate footings and foundations to specification
- Perform backfill, rough grading, and site cleanup
- Operate excavators and skid steers safely and efficiently
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work professionally with site supervisors, builders, and inspectors
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating excavators and/or skid steers
- Ability to complete full residential excavations independently
- Strong understanding of grades, elevations, and safe excavation practices
- Ability to identify and solve problems without constant supervision
- Valid driver's license (Class 3 is an asset)
- Reliable, motivated, and committed to producing quality work
