Job Summary
MP Auto Repairs & Collision is seeking an experienced Auto Bodyman to join our team in Scarborough. We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and hardworking individual who can perform high-quality auto body repairs efficiently and work independently when required.
Responsibilities
- Repair dents and damaged vehicle body panels
- Perform body filler work, sanding, and bodywork preparation
- Remove and replace damaged body panels and vehicle components
- Perform welding and rust repair when required
- Disassemble and reassemble bumpers, doors, trim, mouldings, lights, and other vehicle components as needed
- Perform frame and body pulling when required
- Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods
- Ensure proper panel alignment, gaps, and fitment
- Prepare repaired panels for refinishing, including sanding, applying primer, and ensuring bodywork is ready for the painter
- Complete repairs efficiently and within reasonable timeframes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper workplace and repair safety procedures
- Work with the painter and other team members to ensure vehicles are completed to a high-quality standard
Qualifications
- Previous professional auto body repair experience is required
- Strong experience with dent repair, body filler work, panel replacement, welding, rust repair, and collision repair
- Experience applying automotive primer and preparing repaired panels for refinishing
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned vehicles with minimal supervision
- Experience using auto body hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and frame repair equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with others
- Ability to manage multiple repair jobs and complete work within reasonable timeframes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Based on experience and skill level.
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
