Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources Lead to join our team. The role of the Human Resource Lead would be to manage the relationships between the organization and the employees. The ideal candidate will ensure that Human Resource strategies achieve the goals and objectives of the organization from all levels, including a solid understanding of the legislations within Alberta. The Human Resource Lead plays an important role as the bridge between Leadership and the employees. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the hiring process, training, and the organizational development of the company culture. This position will require you to work 30-40 hours per week.
Duties
- Coordination of a full-cycle recruitment process, including pre-screening, interviewing, and on-boarding;
- Assist in onboarding new employees by preparing paperwork, conducting operation level orientations, facilitating training sessions, and maintaining of personnel records;
- Off-boarding process, including assisting Leadership with terminations, layoffs, resignations, etc.
- Preparation of all paperwork and forms in regards to the on and off boarding process;
- Creation of job descriptions for various departments as well as posting them on various platforms;
- Knowledge of BambooHR is an asset;
- Employee Group Benefit enrollment and administration;
- Act as a primary point of Human Resource contact to all of Leadership and employees in the area of employee/employer relations, provide employee engagement and best practices in regard to abiding company policies and procedures;
- Assist with the processing of Record of Employments and in contact with Service Canada Agents;-
- Assist with employee relations matters and conflict resolution;
- Contribute to HR projects such as policy development and implementation;
- Maintain compliance with all legislation, accreditation and licensing standards;
- Other duties as directed by the Director(s)
Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources/Business, or a combination of education, training, and experience will be considered, dependent on employment verification checks;
- Current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record Check from Children and Family Services;
- Knowledge of the Children and Family Services sector and legislation, as well as the operations of a licensed and accredited Group Home facility;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suites, BambooHR and other talent acquisition tools;
- FoIP
- Standard First Aid training
