Taylor Fish Company is looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Taylor’s Fish & Chip truck. Help us provide our loyal customers with the freshest perch and pickerel cooked in Southern Ontario!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food to specification
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously per order, in a timely fashion
- Stock, set up and clean stations before, throughout, and at the end of shift
- Work closely with management team to ensure chip truck continues to run smoothly and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service – greet customers, assist with knowledge of food products, handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner
- As necessary, take orders and process cash payments
- Assemble food orders with high quality standards
- Monitor food and supplies inventory on a daily basis to prevent interruption to service
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance in kitchen areas
- Use communication skills to work within a team, as well as assist customers
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Follow Health and Safety Guidelines.
Availability:
- May - October:
- Wednesday – Sunday, 10:00 am – 9:00 pm,
- Monday, Tuesday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Holiday Mondays (Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday), 10:00 am – 9:00 pm
Job Requirements:
- Experience with fish & seafood is an asset
- Experience with cash and customer service is preferred
- Food Handler Certificate required – can be obtained upon hiring
- Driver's License - (own vehicle preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to show initiative and self-motivation
- Strong problem solving skills are an asset
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work as a leader and coordinate tasks with coworkers
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to work consistent shifts during the season, Wednesday - Monday
- Able to work Holidays during the open season.
- Able to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
