Pasture to Plate is currently looking for a full-time Meat Cutter to be a key member of our Commercial Drive Whole Animal Butcher Shop in Vancouver, BC. We offer a premium wage in an excellent work environment, with the shared value, “People, Animals, and Healthy Soils.”
Key Responsibilities
- Breakdown carcasses
- Cut, trim, bone, grind, and portion meat to specifications for orders
- Prepare sausages and meat deli products
- Follow PACS, CFIA, and WorkSafeBC regulations
- Clean tools, equipment, and work area to health and sanitation standards
- Ensure products meet quality standards
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
- Have respect for wholesome food productions and organic practices
- Speak, read, and write basic English
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations and standards an asset
