Project Manager – Construction / Facility Build
Job Description: We currently have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Project Manager to support our client, a leading military defense manufacturing company based in Ingersoll, ON! The successful candidate will support programs for both the Department of National Defense (DND) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and will oversee the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of a new manufacturing facility—ensuring timely delivery, on-budget performance, and alignment with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from early planning through construction and commissioning, ensuring seamless handover to operations
- Manage new facility builds and large-scale expansions, including site development, building construction, utilities, and infrastructure
- Oversee and coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and inspectors
- Develop, manage, and control project schedules, budgets, and construction cost forecasts
- Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and change orders for accuracy and constructability
- Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code, health & safety legislation, environmental regulations, and company standards
- Conduct regular site meetings, progress reviews, and risk assessments
- Identify project risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Provide clear, consistent project reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Support commissioning activities and transition from construction to operational readiness
- Apply project management best practices, documentation standards, quality controls, and continuous improvement principles.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of applied project management experience, with a strong focus on construction and building projects
- Proven experience delivering large-scale industrial, commercial, or manufacturing facility construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction management, contractor oversight, scheduling, and cost control
- Experience supporting or delivering projects within defence or military-related manufacturing environments is preferred
- Exposure to DND/DoD contract environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing CAPEX-funded construction programs, including installation and commissioning
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and cross-functional internal teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Solid knowledge of health & safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and construction best practices
- Experience working on classified or regulated industrial programs is preferred
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Willingness to travel within Ontario as required
