We are currently looking for part-time Online Facilitators for our overseas elementary ELL blended learning program, M.O.O.S.E. The M.O.O.S.E. program focuses on English language and literacy development for K-7 students, with all course materials mirroring the BC Language Arts curriculum. Facilitators engage virtually with students in a group setting, with students situated in a physical classroom in an overseas location. The M.O.O.S.E. program creates a unique online-offline experience for students and offers personalized instruction that fits students’ individual needs.
A Bachelor’s Degree
Have at least 1 year of experience working with ELL students ages 8-12 in an instructional setting
TESL certification is an asset
Have excellent English written language and fluent oral communication skills
Comfortable using computers and technology
Have excellent organizational skills, creativity and adaptability
Be able to commit to 4-week terms and work Monday to Friday 6:00-9:00pm PST during the summer (July-Aug)
Be able to commit to 10-week terms and work Fridays & Saturdays 5:00-9:00pm PST during the regular school year (Sept-June)
provide interactive lessons and activities in the classroom based on content as created by the course creator/evaluator
ensure student understanding of content & identifying needs for reinforced learning of course content
provide targeted feedback to students’ work
direct the flow of classroom activities and working with the classroom assistant to ensure student engagement in the classroom
liaise with the classroom assistant and Xspace management staff to oversee student progress
maintain detailed records of students’ progress and classroom performance
