Are you passionate about fostering a dynamic and skilled workforce? The Region of Peel's Human Resources division is on the lookout for a dedicated Advisor in Organizational Development and Learning to drive corporate excellence.
As a key player, you'll spearhead transformative initiatives in onboarding, core competency development, succession planning, career management, and both social and e-learning. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our teams through expert coaching and strategic consultation.
In this pivotal role, you'll:

Strategize and Integrate: Develop and deliver comprehensive organizational development programs that align with corporate goals and enhance team effectiveness.

Onboarding Excellence: Implement a dynamic onboarding strategy to ensure new employees feel valued, confident, and clear on their roles.

Career Growth: Drive career management and succession planning initiatives to help employees explore and advance their careers within the Region of Peel.

Learning Innovation: Advance core competency development through cutting-edge social and e-learning solutions, making learning accessible and engaging.

Collaborate and Advise: Partner with leadership and HR teams to identify and address learning and development needs, providing strategic advice and planning.

Program Leadership: Oversee large-scale development programs, manage vendors, and design interventions to tackle team challenges and performance gaps.

What the role requires:

A university degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or related field

A minimum of five years’ progressive professional experience in a large public sector environment in the design, development and implementation of organization-wide Organizational Development programs

Experience in corporate-wide strategy and program development in the areas of onboarding, career management, core competency development and succession planning

Change management certification and experience
-
Combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills/Abilities:

Experienced instructor and curriculum designer

Exceptional project management skills

Strong facilitation skills and training in facilitation methodology

Excellent partnership and relationship-building skills
-
E-learning design and learning management system know-how (Articulate Storyline is an asset)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an ability to learn new technology quickly

In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga worksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
