Antler Kitchen Bar is on the hunt for a Sous Chef. We are looking for a passionate individual with a love for seasonal and local ingredients. We focus on defining Canadian cuisine. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development
- Oversee food preparation and cooking activities in the kitchen
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to the established standards
- Monitor food quality
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new dishes and specials
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role is an asset
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes
Weekend availability Friday-Sunday is a must.
