Position: Maintenance Technician
Are you a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a passion for maintaining and enhancing beautiful spaces? Nita Lake Lodge, an award-winning 4-Diamond property, is seeking an Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and beautification of our stunning lodge, ensuring that every guest experience is exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance in guest rooms, public spaces, administrative areas, food & beverage outlets, staff housing, spa, and pools.
- Address guest maintenance requests promptly and courteously, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel through tasks like mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs, basic drywall repair, painting, and more.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest experiences.
- Uphold safety standards and follow green initiatives to promote a sustainable work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of work orders and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of building maintenance, including HVAC, boilers, and other plant equipment an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in a hotel engineering/maintenance department or similar environment.
- Flexible with working hours, including daytime and evening shifts.
- Technical training in a trade is an asset; Pool Operators Level 1 certification is a plus.
- WHMIS, First Aid, and Working at Heights certification are an asset.
