About The Happy Box
The Happy Box is a fast-growing Canadian gifting company. We create thoughtfully curated gift boxes featuring Canadian-made goods from small businesses, designed to feel personal, elevated, and memorable.
We're not a typical fulfillment operation. Every box we send is an experience.
The Role
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that sits between operations and product.
You'll be responsible for executing daily orders with a high standard of presentation, while also owning inventory coordination and vendor relationships, including placing orders, managing timelines, and making sure products arrive on schedule and meet our quality expectations.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys both working with their hands and thinking ahead, balancing organization, quality, and logistics.
What You'll Do
- Build and prepare curated gift boxes with a strong eye for presentation, consistency, and quality
- Make sure every order meets our brand standards, from packaging layout to final details
- Organize and manage daily order flow from system to assembly to shipment
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and well-structured workspace
- Track inventory levels and update internal systems (spreadsheets, CRM)
- Place product orders and coordinate directly with Canadian vendors on restocking, timelines, and availability
- Monitor incoming shipments and check product quality and accuracy on arrival
- Anticipate inventory needs based on upcoming orders and demand
- Support and lead team production during larger builds and peak periods
- Continuously improve processes while holding a high standard of quality
Who You Are
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. You notice the small things others miss
- You have a strong eye for presentation (retail, events, merchandising, or similar experience is a strong asset)
- You take pride in how something looks and feels, not just getting it done
- Reliable and accountable. You follow through and take ownership
- Proactive. You don't wait to be told what needs to be done
- Comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once
- Confident leading others when needed
Nice to Have
- Experience in boutique retail, gift shops, or lifestyle brands
- Background in events, styling, or visual merchandising
- Experience with inventory management or product ordering
- Familiarity with small business brands or curated products
