KPMG’s growing and market-leading Global Infrastructure Advisory practice is looking for an individual who is interested in project management, finance, strategy, infrastructure planning and financing, business economics, procurement, and policy development, to join our practice in Vancouver.
What you will do:
Working on and leading multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of projects
Communicating with different parties such as clients and other advisors
Preparing and distributing reports and proposals
Preparing proposals for RFP submissions
Perform research, data gathering and analysis
Assist with the development, and review of infrastructure contracts
Assist with project risk assessment including identifying and quantifying project risks
Assist in the commercial structuring of complex contracts
Conduct thorough due diligence on financial and operational data
Advise on procurement and process management, including bid evaluation
Participate in strategic advice to clients based on detailed analysis
Assist in preparing strategic plans, business plans and business case
Contribute to a dedicated team of professionals in delivering advisory services to clients
What you bring to this role:
Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, business, commerce, economics, math, planning, or similar area
3-5 years of experience in a relevant industry
Understanding of construction contracts, procurement of major projects, design and project management
Public sector procurement experience is an asset
Experience drafting strategies, business plans or cases (preferred, but not required)
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
A team-oriented attitude, an ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team
Proven capability of working within a multi-disciplinary team
Demonstrated initiative and ability to communicate and engage with diverse groups
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Flexibility to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities
Strong quantitative and computer skills
Ability to travel within Canada and abroad, as necessary.
