Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Window Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of windows across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that all glass surfaces are spotless and well-maintained. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in commercial cleaning, custodial work, and facilities upkeep within a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean windows on both interior and exterior surfaces using hand tools, squeegees, and power tools as needed
- Perform facilities maintenance tasks related to window cleaning, including removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Utilize appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques to achieve streak-free results
- Operate heavy lifting equipment or ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach windows
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storing tools and supplies properly
- Communicate effectively with clients to address specific cleaning needs or concerns
- Adhere to safety guidelines at all times during window cleaning operations
- Assist with other custodial or commercial cleaning tasks as assigned
Experience
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance is a plus
- Experience in customer service is advantageous for interacting professionally with clients
- Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely using ladders or scaffolding
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
