Clarenville Honda is looking for a Shop Assistant to work with our service departments. Primary duties would be assisting technicians and detailers with various tasks, shuttle driver for customers, and some general maintenance in and around the dealership such as keeping shops tidy, lot maintenance and lawncare.
We are looking for an energetic, dependable, personable and motivated individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Duties include:
· Assisting in movement and storage of inventory such as tires, rims, accessories, etc.
· Assisting technicians with basic tasks, including prepping tires.
· Working with our detailers with the cleaning of new and used vehicles including washing and vacuuming.
· Shuttle driver for our service customers, in a professional and friendly manner
· General maintenance/janitorial of service department - a clean and tidy workspace is a must. And from time to time, providing basic janitorial services to other areas of the dealership as required.
· Delivery of vehicles – recreation and automotive
· Maintaining the property including cutting grass, tidying grounds, sweeping lot, etc.
· Maintain a high level of Health and Safety at all times
· Other duties assigned by your manager
Qualifications:
· Experience would be a definite asset. However, motivation and willingness to learn is a must. We will train the right individual.
· A valid driver’s license is required, along with a clean Drivers Abstract
· Must be personable and adaptable. Customer service experience would be a definite asset.
· Impeccable attention to detail
· Excellent organizational skills, meet deadlines and take pride in their work.
· Be able to multi task in a fast-paced work environment
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· High school diploma or equivalent
This position is typically 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However from time to time, work may be required beyond normal work hours to ensure customer expectations are met.
The selected candidate(s) will be reporting to the service department.
