Hazelwood Finance, a division of The Hazelwood Group, is seeking a full-time Property Accountant to join our team in Nanaimo, BC. Please note that travel will be required within the local Nanaimo area, so a vehicle is required.

Compensation
- $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Summary
The Property Accountant will be responsible for providing full cycle accounting on income and development properties for the Hazelwood Group. This position also involves actively contributing to property development and property management activities throughout all project phases, from inception to disposition or holding. The ideal candidate will be curious, analytical, and personable, with a strong desire to use accounting and research to inform decision-making and build relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- A degree or certificate in accounting or business, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency with current business software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and online accounting software.
- Criminal record check.
- Valid BC Driver's License and the ability to operate a vehicle.
