Job Overview:
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our team at Harrow Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for both clients and their furry companions, as well as other duties and responsibilities required by the Veterinary Technicians or DVM. Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries or concerns
- Check-in patients, obtain necessary information, and update patient records
- Assist with patient check-out, including processing payments and providing aftercare instructions
-Assist Veterinary Technicians & DVM with patients when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth clinic operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role & previous work experience in the animal care field is REQUIRED (min. 2 YEARS)
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with veterinary software systems
Skills:
- Laboratory: Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment used in a veterinary clinic setting. Familiarity with sample collection, handling, and processing would be beneficial.
- Experience with animal handling/care from previous work experience is REQUIRED. (min. 2 YEARS).
