The Guelph Estate Convention Centre & Banquet Hall
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Cook to join our banquet hall team. The ideal candidate must have experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine, especially Punjabi and Gujarati dishes, and be able to cook for large events, weddings, corporate functions, and banquets while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Indian, Punjabi, and Gujarati dishes.
- Cook efficiently for large parties and banquet events.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, service, and kitchen organization.
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a banquet hall, catering company, hotel, or high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indian, Punjabi, and Gujarati cuisine.
- Ability to cook for large groups while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work evenings and weekends as required.
Pay: $17.20-$27.52 per hour
