Job placements will be for both the Fort Garry and Bannatyne Campuses.
The durations of the positions may range from several hours to a few weeks or months.
Wage rates will be in accordance with Collective Agreement or University policy provisions.
MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Completion of a formal training program in accounting/finance from a recognized institution, or a post-secondary diploma or degree, is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one (1) year of directly related administrative experience is required, preferably in accounting or finance
- Experience and working knowledge of accounting and finance systems, HRIS and e-procurement systems would be an asset
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Skills and abilities for this role may include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Microsoft 365, Adobe and other related software
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain pace and meet deadlines in a high-volume work environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing administrative systems and procedures
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required

As a key member of our support team, you will help maintain smooth and efficient financial workflows. Responsibilities may include:
- Providing financial administrative support for the departments
- Reconciling monthly reports
- Assisting with data collection for preparation of budgetary estimates and forecasting
- Assisting with the coordination of projects, tracking / recording expenditures
- Processing invoices using internal financial systems
- Assisting with expense claim preparation, and procuring goods and services
- Resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and entering journal entries as needed
- Scanning, printing, and photocopying documents
- Providing backup support for other office staff
- Performing other duties as assigned
