Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance their comfort and independence
- Support clients with medication administration according to prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, fostering healthy living
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers
- Document care activities accurately in client records, including any changes in health or behavior
Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a Personal Support Worker or in similar caregiving roles such as assisted living or nursing home environments
- Demonstrated experience providing senior care or supporting individuals with disabilities or dementia
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Experience working in home care settings is highly desirable
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for motivated candidates
